ODEMIRA, PORTUGAL 2015
Intervention in the "Southwest National Park" remodeling an ancient fishermen's harbour and natural surroundings. The place of Barcas reveals itself, due to its geomorphological condition, a moment of dramatic relationship between land and sea. Access to this place is via the road that allows us to discover the maritime abrasion platform, guaranteeing the arrival at Porto, a sheltered place strongly embedded by the cliff and where the strata of the geological nature of the site are revealed: schist- greywacke on the cliff and debris on the abrasion platform.
The architectural and landscape proposal seeks to respond to the desire to create an identity for the coastal ensemble by repositioning the existing dwellings and equipment, but operating in the recognition of these pre-existing core as the root of the settlement model to be consolidated.
